After a long time I read something that I find really inspiring. All Indians need to read this book.
As much as Mr. Kalam’s accomplishments in science and technology, his ability to quote widely from Quran as well as show a lot of respect for other religions and cultures was really amazing.
His positive attitude towards different kinds of people, his love for the country and its varied cultures and an honest belief that we are all following different paths to seek the same God truly make him a great man. While many bright minds were leaving abroad for better opportunities, I am glad that there was this slient "parallel universe" of dedicated and talented Indians doing great stuff. May God bless Mr. Abdul Kalam and others like him. It is extraordinary how much they accomplished with so little foreign help, and also the constant threat of funds being withdrawn.
