Let me make point out my observations in this review of Wings Radio Taxi service in Pune.
Today when I came out of Railway station and was approached by the Wings driver and I boarded his cab. On reaching he charged me for 17 km, while the odometer indicated 13.7km. When I demanded him to check the odometer, he promptly reset it and said it was 16 km. On calling the call center, I was told that since I have not booked it by calling them, it is not their responsibility even if the driver was rude or was charging unfair amount. So I was cheated and the Wings were not ready to take my complaint. Though I was ready to provide the registration number of cab, the call center person told me that they cannot take action on cabbie as they don’t know him. rather amusing! And I got this response after holding line for about 8 minutes while they kept transferring my call among themselves.
The call center of Wings Radio cabs is a Joke. on calling you will be kept on hold for at least 5 minutes unless it is your lucky day.
I have used the services of Wings Radio Cab and Traveltime cabs. I noticed that for traveling same distance(Home to Pune Station), Wings charged me Rs. 224/- while with Traveltime it was Rs.206/- I have observed it consistently for 2 trips of each cab service. So it points to the fact that the meters of Wings Radio are doctored.
There is no standardization of meter placement for all Wings Cabs. Many just use the odometer and calculate the fare using calculator.
On more than 2 occasion drivers have asked for tips or did not returned the change.
All in all, if you are in some kind of trouble, the Wings Radio Cabs will be the last one to support and help you out. And probably you are paying more as compared to their other competitors.
I urge Wings to take these feedback in good sense and improve their services and image. Pune is in dire need of good transportation.
