I had commented on earlier reviews on this subject as my experience with Wings until yesterday was quite allright.Yesterday I happenned to be in Pune and at about 5 pm I booked a Wings Radio cab on 020 40100100 for 7 pm to go from Shivajinagar to Aundh, a distance of app 8 kms.The order was immediatly confirmed by then under order ref 9624.Until 6.40 pm I did not get any intimation on cab no or driver name and mobile.I then called them up to enquire and was told that it will be intimated to me within 2 minutes.The required info was finally SMS to me at 6.57 pm.
Until 7.05 pm there was no call from the driver and hence I decided to call him.Immediatly he told me that he is in Kothrud(5 kms away only) and that he shall reach within 15 mts.There was no sign of the cab until 7.30 pm and when I rang up again the driver tells me that there has been an accident at Warje(12 kms away) and he will try to reach Shivajinagar via B’Lore highway and that it will take him 45 minutes.I cannot understand why he bluffed in the first place.I told him to cancel the order and proceeded with other arrangements.
When I called up Wings again at 8 pm and gave my order no the girl immediatly asked’Have you not recd the cab" and put me on an indefinite hold.This has been a horrible experience with Wings Radio cabs but unfortunately they are the only one in Pune.May be the RTO should make some surprise checks on such operators.The company lacks total customer service.The least they could have done is call me by 6 pm and explain that they are unable to stick to the timing and whether I still want to retain my booking.All the calling had to be made from my side and the company has not even apologised for its lousy service.Incidentally, the driver’s name is Purushottam.
