I was not at all happy with the bank FD rates in 2020 and 2021. And while searching through Google and LinkedIn came across Wint Wealth where you can invest in senior secured bonds in the range of 9 - 11% XIRR.
What I liked about the platform:
1) They didn’t try to sell the product. I had a chat with the customer success team and they told me that this product is not a replacement for FD and has higher risk than FD but lower than equity. They came on call and clarified all my queries. I invested after 1 month after getting educated about the risks.
2) They clearly put large and bold disclaimers about the risks unlike other alternate platforms which try to sell you risky P2P loans as some FD product.
3) Wint Wealth currently has done more than 500 Crores worth of bonds and none of their bonds have defaulted till date. They do inform you that there are chances of defaults and not to do concentrated investments in single bonds.
What I feel can be improved:
1) Their investment dashboard is fairly underdeveloped and definitely someone that needs lot of improvement especially for a savvy investor like me.
2) They bring bonds in the range of 9-11% however I have noticed that 11% bonds get sold out very quickly and sometimes I have missed getting bond units.
3) They don’t have a solid app as yet. They have started developing an app and I am having early access but it’s still far away from perfect
All in one, I found Wint Wealth platform very useful for my investment needs of fixed interest in range of 9-11%.
