I been there for Wipro almost 2 years what I experienced that its not very good company to join. There are some strict policy by which some one need to take step back while joining. Recently news from wipro Bangalore that wipro is reducing the strength of employee. Wipro have a frustrating UCF policy by which they judge the technical skill of employee. Every employee need to undergone this exam .
This is very high level examination, its very tough to clear, all theoretical questions were asked to this exam .
Its so tough they you can clear the external certificate but its very difficult to clear UCF and if someone failed to clear the exam then no mercy from Wipro apart from that kick out to the company.I seen live example for my team member, he not cleared that exam suddenly he got a call from HR giving 7 days notice period with no mercy.
You will get 4 attempt to clear the exam in a year. 70% percent is the passing marks.
Its not like that you were asked only for your technologies questions but you need to be Jack of all treads meaning that suppose if some one from Java then out of 50 questions 35 questions from Java and 15 questions from nearby technology(like change Management, problem management, unix etc).
I strongly recommended all the employee who is thinking to join Wipro then please think twice before join.
Just because of this exam I exit the organization.
