Firstly this movie like any other hollywood horror movie has got some nice sound and animation effects. But im not looking forward to watch this one cause from the trailer the plot of the movie seems similar to a story written by W.W.Jacobs an english writer named The Monkeys paw which is about a relic that grants wishes but at a price.
The story of this movie is about a teenage girl named Clare who was gifted a music bix by her father and she finds out that the box grants wishes to its owner but later on she finds out that each wish has got a dark price of its own. This story is similar to the story of the monkeys paw.
PLOT-
The plot is similar to another story’s namedMonkeys paw amd then again it has got the same old thing about a teenager falling into greed and getting seduced by the lust of power and then having to pay a hefty price for all her wishes. I find this plot stereotypical.
Many horror movies has got similar plots. The plot is almost predictable.
PERFORMANCE-
The performance of the cast as visible from the trailer should be good.Joey King is also casted in the movie who has got some past experience from acting in the movieThe Conjuring. So there should be no complaints regarding the performance.
CINEMATOGRAPHY-
Cinematography would be nothing less than great. The movie is being directed by John R. Leonatti who is known for his masterpieces such as- Childs play3, Mortal Combat, Anabelle and the wizard of OZ.
SOUND & EFFECTS-
The special effects of the movie is expected to be good, the sound effects and special effects of a hollywood horror movie has never disappointed anyone, and nothing less is expected of the director and cinematographer of Child’s Play and Anabelle.
OVERALL-
In my opinion plot of a movie is the main factor, if a plot is not interesting or similar to certain previous movies, the movie loses its charm and the audience loses interest.
So I think i’d be dissapointed if I were to watch this movie. You can watch this movie but dont expect much from it. Personally im not going to watch this one.
