This is a play best avoided. The whole play revolves around just two characters , the male lead and his aging female partner. The story is absolutely rubbish, with no depth, the events are forced, senseless and appear to be time-fillers. Worse, the acting by both was atrocious. The play appeared to be made and enacted by school children. Oh! Am I insulting the school children by this comparison ! And you must hear this. We went to Rangsharada at Bandra to see this play in hindi. We repented having spent about 800 bucks on these lousy goings-on onstage within twenty minutes. The only good thing was the AC. during the extreme summer heat. But to our horror, even that was put off during the interval. There was pandemonium in the theatre when the spectators returned to their seats . People were shouting , asking for a refund and generally not allowing the organisors to continue with the play. They were shouting ’’Bakwaas drama’’ Finally the Ac was started , and tempers were cooled. The play was a shame for theatre lovers and an insult to even a moderately discerning crowd.
Ofcoarse the play kept running to packed halls week after week just because of Shekhar Suman who really showed no acting talents in the play. Rubbish was the word, but with just two persons sharing the profits, at numerous theatres in Bombay, they made a neat packet for themselves, and FOOLS of us.
