Wonderla, as the name suggest is wonderful place to spend your weekend in Bangalore.
We started around 10AM(on Saturday) from my place and took Mysore Road which is hardly 5mins from my place. On the way, we stopped at place(forgot the name) for Go Karting. Spent around 30mins there. The again started out journey to Wonderla. There were enough Roadside Guidance for it. Then we took a right turn from Mysore Road and the road was nice.
We reached Wonderla around 11:25AM. There were enough people at the ticket counter but it wasnt overcrowded. We took ticket and headed straight into the locker room which was neat. Again there we took 2 small lockers(enough space for 4 people belongings). We changed our dress and headed to some rides. I am not fond of dry ride but my wife likes it. She went to few rides which looked very dangerous at least to me but my wife enjoyed it a lot.
Then we moved to family waterpool. There were only few couples there so it was good. But the stag waterpool had many people in it and looked a bit crowded but not over crowded. After getting wet, I was enjoying very much. There was a big bucket on top of the pool which when gets filled with water, drops the entire water on the people standing below it. Just loved it:) There were enough air-filled plastic tyres in the pool on which u can just sit and drag ourself to the entire pool and water spray were sprinkled from many steels pipes around the pool. Nice way to sit and relax on tyres.
We moved on to get a bit high and spine chilling experience i.e. water rides:) We took stairs and climbed to a building where rides were provided. My Wifeand my friends wife stopped on 2nd floor ride whereas me and my friend went to top floor for Parallel Nose Drop Ride. It was very high and I was a bit nervous(it was my first time for this ride). But when I took the ride and came down within few seconds. I was feel my heartbeat and enjoyed a lot. I tried it once again and moved to 2nd Floor where my wife and my friends wife were also waiting for their 2nd turn for their ride. 2 people at a time were allowed here and so me and my wife went. There were lots of turns and tunnels and enjoyed this ride too.
After the water rides, we were hungry and so moved to a restaurant. This was a bit crowded. Me and my Friend took Chicken biryani, my wife took veg. noodle and my friends wife took masala dosa. Food was expensive but understand since it was far from city and only restaurant there. Taste wise it was not so good but not bad too.
After lunch we went too Wave. This was also good. Artificial sea wave and enjoyed it very much. But many people were there and felt very crowded. Wave starts after every 20mins interval. So we took some coffee and rested for bit. When wave started again, we again went inside to enjoy it. After spending some time there. We went to some heater to get our body heated. There were sufficient numbers of body heaters. Just stand below it and relax.
Then we went to take some more minor rides and it was almost 5:45PM. So we thought of returning back. We were very tired and on the way back we had coconut water and had few chips. When we returned home, we were very tired. So one thing I felt was that Wonderla is good place to visit but mostly when if you have next day holiday so you can rest.
Overall it was very good experience and Wonderla is very good place to spend weekend with family and friend. But since I am from Kolkata, I felt Wonderla does not have many rides compared to Aquatica in Kolkata but enough to enjoy and spend the day.
