I had purchased two double beds (Rs 13000 each) and Dressing table(Rs 4000) from wood art furniture Bangalore. I feel now that it was a terrible mistake. Wood quality is as bad as it can be.
That was the first experience of purchasing furniture and I had very little idea about the kind of wood used. I went to their store and found prices to be ok. After one month sliding storage drawers of both the beds were damaged and needed repair.
I called wood art furniture for servicing and was upset about the quality. They did come after one week. Repaired both the beds. Although they had promised free of cost service for five years but their carpenter asked for some khracha Pani and charged three hundred Rs.
Storage drawers were damaged again after one month. I called them and same process again. Then it was decided we should not keep any thing in the storage drawer not even bed sheets. It can not hold more than 1 kg of load so the sliding drawers of both the beds were useless.
After that I got transferred to Gurgaon and during transport both the beds and dressing table was broken again. I had purchased dinning table and sofa from some other store which came fine and is not giving me any trouble.
Beds and dressing table were damaged because they were made of what we call Burada in Hindi.
I went to local carpenter in Gurgaon and he told me furniture cannot be repaired as the quality of wood used is bad.Even it is repaired it will not last more than 1-2 years and it will be useless.
I would suggest others not to buy anything from BTM furniture store. As they are owned by the same people. All these shops in BTM belongs to some five brothers and they produce same quality.
May be spend some more money and buy from some reliable store.
