Horrible experience

I ordered three furniture pieces(two single beds, one with trundle and one sofa cum bed) from wooden street and they botched up the order. After chasing them for weeks I finally received my pieces.


The beds they sent me were 6" less in width than the standard width mentioned on website and my specification sheet with the bill. As a result the trundle was jutting from under the bed and my mattresses did not fit. It was an obvious error and I thought it will be easy to follow up.


In the sofa cum bed, I wanted an edging so the mattress would not slip, and their smart carpenters put the edging on the underside of the bed. Also the sofa cum bed came with a mattress and matching bolsters as per the website, but I did not receive the bolsters.


For me it took me 3-4 weeks of constant chasing and the Mumbai wooden street office was completely fraudulent and incompetent. They put some Mr. Rajkumar in-charge who has a Phd in dragging issues and harassing customers. I finally reached some Mr. Abhishek in the Mumbai office who also after promising to take care of the issue refused to pick up follow-up calls.


I finally got a one line text saying we cannot do anything sorry. I finally had to hire my own carpenter and mattress guy to resize things and correct the errors. It was horrible and unprofessional.


The issue with wooden street is they take 100% payment upfront so if there is any issue you can keep chasing them.they have masterd the art of stretching things for so long that the customer will give up.


Tips:


1) Avoid ordering from wooden street. Most of their designs are direct copies of stuff from urbanladder, pepperfry etc. Chances are you will find stuff elsewhere on more reliable websites.


2) If you have to order, check everything at the time of delivery and if anything is wrong or missing insist on sending everything back immediately. Once they leave stuff at you place.good luck chasing.you will be stuck with it.


Horrible experience and had to spend close to 8 grand extra to fix everything on my own.
