Wooden Street is a company which is a great case study on how bad you can be at customer service. Some aspects of what they did can be considered as literally cheating the customer.
Some Facts:
We ordered a sofa on 27th August 2020. Guess when we received it. 11th November. After 2.5 months! ETA was 5–7 weeks. And the best part is they take a full payment upfront and it is only customers like us who need to suffer while they give their famous COVID excuse.
Did they let us know they are getting delayed? Absolutely not. Even to date, we are clueless about why there was a delay and till the morning of 11th didn’t know the furniture is going to be delivered.
Frustrated with the delay I made an attempt to cancel the order. Guess what they do not have a cancellation policy.
Could we talk to anyone to escalate or prioritize this issue in the interim? Nopes. The people who sold the furniture in their Wooden Street HSR Bangalore Shop, said they are not answerable as they are from sales and I need to talk to Support. This was a ridiculous explanation given to us.
They deliver the furniture through some random courier. The courier folks came and simply dumped the furniture. Now I need to wait for a carpenter to install. And going by their track record I am clueless when that carpenter will come.
I have no expectations of future support. I need to figure out something on my own.
Folks, there are plenty of options. Choose something else. This company is simply not worth your time and money. Do not fall prey to their marketing stuff and store designs.
