I bought a pair of Woodland shoes last Saturday from a store in Andheri West.I should appreciate the selling skill of the sales person. I decided to buy a pair of Green shoes fit for trekking, hiking and any rugged sport. I took me 10 mins to close the decision (..btw I m a fast decision maker..!!!)I was assured 90 day warranty for the damage to sole if any & 6 month warranty for any maufacturing defect.
On the cash memo however nothing of this sort is mentioned. I requested the shop manager a couple of times to write the assurances on the cash memo as an alternative. However they were not willing to do so.The product seemed good so I bought it, however the verbal promise seems more of selling strategy without any intentions.While I am not shunning the product since its quality and comfort appeal to me.However an unfulfilled promise leaves a sour taste and does well to kill the USP of any Brand. I guess the Brand Owners need to mull over this seriously.Sidharth
