Let me tell you that I was a big fan of Woodpecker store for its range of products and its courteous staff. But recently I had seen a change and sad to say for the worst. I bought a cupboard and had it delivered to my house. The staff was new and everytime my kid would go near a furniture their staff would "kind of" give that look or tell him not to touch. Understandably as it is written as well "Nice to hold, sold if broken".
I thought that rule applies to them as well when they come to deliver but sadly found out , it doesnt. When the guys came to deliver, one of the boys broke a costly lamp in my house, smashed it to the extent it cant be fixed back. When I notified the owners, strangely they asked him to pay and settle the issue. The delivery boy kept on crying and offered me his phone. I told him I will talk to the owners. The attitude and tone of owners and the staff who handled the phone was amazing. I got questions like "The delivery boy is not my responsibility", "did you have a lamp worth 5K". I tried calling them for follow up.The store said they will handle the issue.
I got couple of calls at 11 pm. Now it was getting nastier. I drop the issue due to safety reasons but vowed never to go back to the store again. Phew, truly unprofessional-ism at its best.
