Being a S/W engineer I came down to on site where unfortunately no FM radio station is available.. so I decided to go for a WorldSpace... all my trouble starts after paying Rs. 2499 and got a satellite radio without any survey.. when time came to install...engineer from WS gave hand by saying that its not possible to install bc there is a big building in the direction of signal..and as a alternate he suggested me to purchase a big recieverwhich would catch a weaker signals also... finally I kept that instrument to scrap... thats my suggestion to all guys about to purchase WS... go for a proper survey...
basically those who love to listen a hindi music ...and if u re not in such remote place u dont require any satellite radio... bc so many free to air options are available... but those who are in ny such places they only go for WS...and by seeing some 2 - 3 Min demo in any malls or road side... definitely u have been told that installation would take only 15 min.. but actual pain starts after purchasing only..when u will come to know that reciever provided with instrument is not capable enough to catch signals...or extra cable u have to bring from near by town..
again I am giving a same suggestion go for a survey or take a tips from any of the existing listeners near by who have installed WS in their building... in terms of direction and sound quantity at that particular place
