I have been listening to worldspace for the past 5 years and have been enjoying the music thoroughly.
When I first got the receiver...then it was not a paid service. ( would have enoyed even more if it was still free )
A month ago I had requested for a renewal subscription and I did this online. On their website they had mentioned that the password would be sent via email within 24 hours...but guess what? I actually received it after 15days!!! I was very disappointed with the service. I guess it would have stretched more than 15days to get the password if I wouldnt have mailed them to cancel my renewwal. The next day after I having sent the email, to my surprised...they called me. The lady on the call apologised for the delay in replying and said that she would "immediately" send me password. I asked her why it took so long for them to reply...guess what she said? "Well ma’am, I have lots of emails and I just didnt get the time to go through all of it.!!!" I was so pissed off by then, I sarcastically replied by saying that she can send me the password after 15days...I also told her that if I dont receive the password then, then I would call my credit card company and ask them not to process the request form worldspace.
Anyways, its been a month since that incident...I’m enjoying the music from Worldspace and no doubt they play the best music in the world, however, when I think about their customer service...I get really pissed.
Another thing that I’d like to point out is that some of the RJs in Worldspace really sucks. They just cant speak at all, at times the way they intro’ the artist or rather the song is such a turn off that one feels like switching stations.
This is especially with the RJs from Spin and Jhankaar.
My favorite RJ is Rob from Top40. I just love the way he introduces a song...
