It all started when we decided to move to Chennai. We got in touch with writers to move our house old effects and we were told that a surveyor would visit and give us a quote. The surveyor did visit and gave us a quote which we immediately confirmed and the only request that we made was that we would require a closed truck for the move.
On the scheduled day of packing they turned up at my door with an open truck and it was raining heavily. When I told them that I had asked for a close truck, they started to explain that the closed truck service would be from their warehouse and not from the customers house. I was quite shocked as I had made it clear that it was raining and I was not going to send my home theatre and electronic equipments in a open truck even to their warehouse.
The next day the turned up with a closed autorickrsaw and said now it will cost me an additional 7000Rs.
I was completely taken aback and cancelled the entire contract. And called their manager and told him that if they were to alter the quote as and when they felt like, what was the need to even send they surveyor and understand the clients requirement in advance. The manager whose name was Jacob from the ERnakulam, kochi branch was the rudest person ever. I don’t know when these companies will learn to be customer centric and service oriented.
In the whole process I lost many days as I had to start the whole process again with another packer.
I would never recommend them ever.
