Hey, this is so unlike the other usual reviews ive been writing. As I said, I am becoming more versatile everyday and now this is like an art film in the midst of a commercial batch!
After being exposed to the MS community a month or so ago, ive been reading so many reviews (except mine- they are untouchable :)) and over the past days, I am sure every one would have noticed this, weve been having quite a few reviews that I can call jabardasti, i.e. reviews that are being written just for the sake of writing! without the product actually being experienced.
If we have observed, when we write a review, to the left side of the screen, there are certain guidelines, which clearly state the points to be covered while writing a review. This is expecially for those of you who have just joined our community, if we go thru the reviews of senior writers like amrita, premjit, ashford, cousin2, mealkah1, abababbey (May the rest forgive me), we can clearly see that their writing style is defined as per the guidelines! and each has identified a unique style (Writing over 100 reviews each, what else would happen??) for himself/ herself!
Especially, all this furstration about writing reviews has stemmed out of my reading filmi reviews, which reveal the plots! Fellas, leave something for us to watch in the theatre! Overview is fine, but I have been reading reviews, which even tell us the name, age, telephone number and MS id of the servant maid who comes on screen for 8 seconds!! Give us a break yaar!!
One more thing is writing on automobiles, which we have seen only and not experienced. Remember, your recommend or not recommend affects a products standing on MS (Now, I am talking like the CEO of mouthshut!!). Especially when someone calls a good product bad or vice versa based on outside looks, someone who wants to get info about the product is being decieved. I am not sure if I am right or wrong, but that is what I feel!
MS is a great platform to voice our opinions and read, rate and review others writings. The best part is the community, in which I agree with abbey that it is quite close knit! I truly enjoyed ashford in malaysia and cousin2 in canada responding with their views of my indian reviews! Where else in the world can that happen?
Great work MS and M2Ms welcome, as usual.
Looking forward to reading more informative and critical reviews from new and old alike!
