When ever a new review comes up on MS. It appears on the homepage for first time. Here are few points worth considering on life cycle of a review.
A new review on homepage
New review remains on homepage for some two hours.
It is goes into current 30 list after that. There are guys around who are in hurry to pour everything in single day by writing 5-6 reviews in a single day. It affects other’s visibility and their reviews. If in a day, 2 guys write 10 reviews, It will kick out the single review written by a person. Only these two guys will be visible there for atleast 1.5 days. Till somebody comes up and or new number of reviews increase.
Visit stats
Visits Member/Total is in the ratio of 1:3, I mean if you get total visits 100, you will find member visits around 33 or so.
Comments/visit time cycle
A new review is rated and visited best in first two days. One gets maximum visits during these days. Those who have good circle around get visits from the friends and from those who are particularly interested in what one writes.
Timing of the review
For maximum visibility, one needs to post the review around 10 AM, because people turn towards their offices around this time. Bad timing is 8 PM onwards. You have fair chances of being disappearances from current 30 list. Never post your review in bulk. It affects your reviews and ratings. People become less focused towards your reviews.
Aged/Old review
Visitor comes his own but their is no pattern of such visits. Your old review may become point of focus if certain topics are in media again, and people are curious to know more about that.
Writer’s interests and his own life cycle on MS
Some writers become so old here, that you will find a long gap in their reviews. They write sometimes.
Some new writers feel that they are being in given bad ratings, and it is not worth of putting efforts here, they quite after 2-3 reviews.
A writer begins writing in good faith but his experience teaches him few valuable lessons here.

Criteria for review of the day, hot reviews etc. Some reviews which appear in these two lists, have’nt been so much successful to be called review of the day. Sometimes, you will find Star Writer has’nt written anything new for last 4 months.
Suggestions to MS
When ever one writer is not writing for a long time, you can send him a reminder that we need your opinions on MS.
Be more proactive in customer support, current state of customer support is not good. Hardly one gets reply from MS support guys.
Fix how many reviews one can write in a single day. If one is writing 10 reviews in day, It will affect others too.
