Yippppeeeeee.....with this, I complete my 25th review here on MS! seriouly, my stay at MS, till now, has been absolutely wunnerful. Ive thoroughly enjoyed reading, rating, and commenting on your reviews, and also writing reviews on my own. So, now I thought of sharing my bitta experience with my few MSians. So newbies, get up and take notice, and all the oldies (ooops, dun take it personallly now...lolz)...do temme if therez anything else I should know. So, here goes my review on reviews:-
REVIEWS...what are they?? (..he.l.l.o..??)
Well, a review according to me, is an expression, a way to let out your feelings, your views about a product/service...phew! samjhe? anyway, the platform for us to write these reviews is ofcourse, mouthshut.com. bhai, naam me kya hai, whats there in a name, huh? I mean, although the names..shut...mouthshut...ironically, its only for those people who love to keep their mouths, eyes, ears open..and who love to shatter keys, ofcourse. So, in short...reviews are about you, your views, your opinions, and about speaking your mind (provided you have one, that is)
REVIEWS...kyon likhoon..why to write?
reviews likho, kyunki......
1. Chance to get heard:- well, all through your lives, youve always had this complain ki meri koi sunta hi nahin...not even GOD.
So, if you wanna be heard, MS is the place for you, and reviews are the tool for you.say whatever you wanna say, people here will not only listen to you, but, theyd also rate, comment on your reviews, badhiyaan hai na?
2. Let the writer in u take front seat:- hey, was being a writer your one-time ambition that u cherish till date? fikar not, guys, cause through your MS reviews, you can actually let out your creative site too. just take a look at the various...story reviews, letter reviews, poetry reviews...whateva..and youll know.
3. Get famous:- so, you wanted to be a star...a fillum star? nahin bane! dont you worry, re, theres always scope for you to be a MS star writer, you know. twinkle-twinkle...MS star, if you become, youll get loads of pyaar! but, frankly speaking, star or no star, name, fame, will always be with you, on MS, yaar.
REVIEWS:- likhna toh hai...par...kaise? (how???)
TIP NO.1 :- say NO to cut-copy-paste. yes, its only originality which counts, here on MS, and even otherwise, in life. so, the first thing to remeber here is :- NO CHEATING! arrey yaar, this isnt your maths ka paper, you wont pass/fail, right, so, why cheat...huh? if you really want to copy something...copy the spirit of MS, bacha!
TIP NO.2:- be clear with your perspective :- now for once toh in life, dont be confused, no! whenever, you write a review, please dont hurry through it, yaar. I mean work on it. after all, everyones opinion matters here. It matters to people, the companies, affects sales of a product and stuffs. So, think about what youre writing. balance the pros-cons, well....finally...likh bhi daal, yaar. Yup, write the review only when youre sure of what youre writing, and voice your opinions boldly and clearly.
TIP NO.3:- apna-apna ishtyle. Ji haan, create your own style of writing. It could be simple, clear, funny, straight-forward, only thing is it should be yours. I mean, you can and you must have your own, individual style of writing. Its like if you dont have such a good sense of humour, please dont include a namuna of that in your reviews, unless and until, you wanna be MS ka namuna. Anyway, your review not necessarily have to be funny/zanny types, it can be short and simple, too. So, please give up the habbit of unnecesarily filling the entire space, with your show of not-dat-funny jokes, k.. just be yourself.
TIP NO.4:- looks do matter na-maah, I aint doing a fair n lovely ad here! its just that the look of your reviews, i.e. the formatting thingie should be prim and proper. when you have the time to write one full page review, please take some time off to put it in paragraphs, add headings, etc, too. all that makes it, i.e. your review readable, ofcourse.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:- these are the also remeber kinda things, which do matter while you write your review:-
avd sms lng (??):- arrey, avoid short-messaging-service language, k.. you must be thinking na ki look whos talking, but, seriously, Im practising to cut down on the short forms, so, if I can, you can.
title:- it also forms a part of beautifying your review. Try to make it catchy, and helps in attracting people to read your review.
grammar:- agreed that the reviews out here are not the typically polished and serious ones, but, as far as possible, try take care of the words you use, grammar, i.e., tense, and stuffs
read:- apart from just writing reviews yourself, it is also imporant to read and rate others reviews, right. Not for taking inspirations, though.
Phew...! so, now that Ive ended with my bit of gyaan, dhyaan, and paka-ya-aa-n, its time for bye-bye. Yup, as far as my writing reviews on MS, now, that wont happen for sometime now, because......I have my BOARDS. So, thats it, Ill stick around to read your reviews, though. So, milte hain noards ke baad.
