Are You Afraid of the Dark? by Sidney Sheldon
I recently read this book. It was sort of OK. I didn’t like the book very much b’cos it wasn’t very gripping or exciting. Most of the times you will be able to guess what will happen. Even though most of the Sheldon’s earlier novels was quite romantic. this is not.!
The theme of the story is very good. I don’t want to disappoint the people who are going to read the book by giving the whole details about the book. but the main theme of the book is about’ Controlling the world weather sitting @ one place.’.It is hard to believe whether everything mentioned in that book about’controlling the weather’ is possible.? But in the END when you read those patents. You will also be surprized!
It is story of 4 scientists dying in different parts of world on the same day. Two widows of these scientists meet and try to solve the mystery. All romantic lines are in’FlashBack’. Some one will be trying to kill these two women. They have to survive and also solve the mystery. One more subplot in this book is one of the Widow is prime witness of murder by some big DON. The latest tech about tracing people through Mobile phones is also quite good.
My fav book of Sidney Sheldon is still - If tomorrow comes - I read it long long ago.
