I too was a human being before I came here and started writing reviews. Life was great with my friends who were real and used to sit besides me at times. It was great talking to friends on phone and chatting as well on messengers when suddenly Mouthshut happened to me.
The life had never beensame after that day when I actually explored an entirely new world with a great set of like minded people around who too were doing the same what I started doing in here.
Before mouthshut – movies were just about normal or boring at times as I just used to see them – discuss them for 10 minutes flat and we were over them – after mouthshut – movies became great – even movies which don’t even make it to the 3rd day in a theatre – do get rave reviews and great comments – real interaction with real people further enhances the interest. Just a hint: Do you know that RGV is making another Sholay? – now imagine the kind of reviews he is gonna get and I am already game – if not to write at least to read them.
At times I feel as if Mouthshut has made me over critical of things – although they may be not that bad in real life as we project them to be at least I do at times. Before even a movie starts – I start making my “Foreword” on it that how will my review start and will take how many turns and twists to wrap and crap the same. Fortunately I just write when I really feel inclined towards one thing and we have great writers in here who write religiously on the same day of the product / movie launch and how grateful we are to them – I just cant thank them in words in here.
Before mouthshut a spade was a spade and soap was soap but after mouthshut they became “Subjects” on which I could brag on and bore the audience to death.
It made me – I will not say a great critique but yeah at least a good one at that. Surprisingly to put a cherry on the top mouthshut did made me a star writer too.
It did made me obsessive at times to think in terms of mouthshuttting about everything – even when I am moving on road – I feel as if I can write on it – take Mumbai Pune Expressway for example – the road is so damn good that at times I feel as if to come out with a review on the same for those friends of mine who may not come to this part of the world to have the pleasure of driving on this road and to see the most recent accidents on the same – at least 4-5 a day are sure to happen.
Writing reviews is fun as the site allows you to go to any extent with your thinking keyboard on and do whatever you can in maximum 7500 characters(with spaces) and that at times I feel so damn less as one word to another leads to another and that makes it quite a lengthy one but still we feel as if we have not started yet – let alone finishing it.
I don’t know why but yeah – even while bathing at times I look around and think that yes I can write on that as well as on this(Take a wild wild guess what I am talking about) and than when I really have some good time in hand – I do check out if “that” is a category or I need to check with Ms Jazz to get it added.
The best thing about “Being on mouthshut” is that it is indeed great to read a fantastic review from one of us on a crappy movie with no recommendation and than to see it to write a crappier review on the same.
Mouthshut has really made me think hard on things as “Subject” on things which wont even invite a second glance at times from me.
The one good thing which we never expected actually at the very start of the “concept mouthshut” was that the corporate will ever come here to read our take - let alone resolving the same. And I must say that I am shocked and surprised and yeah a lot happy too to read those responses from companies reading the reviews and resolving them too. Now that makes this whole thing very special and unique too when you have a one on one over things. Seems like Faisal did almost achieved what he envisioned before starting this.
This is first and the last time that I am keeping it short and sweet and pointless too.
If you have really come this far and read this – do take a moment to rate it whatever!
I don’t mind getting a comment or two either.
Or just move on dude – there is so much more to life then Mouthshut.
