This is very interesting topic. I was thinking to write on this topic since I joined but if I had written earlier it would not have been justified. Because I wanted to think and think and think and to be very clear what I want to convey through this review. What I am going to write is purely my thoughts(and could be weird too! as some may feel) that grew over a period of many months and all of you who read this review must input their thoughts on my points listed below. Please read the contents thoroughly, focus more on the intent rather than the contents and do post your comments because each one of us carry a beautiful gift from GOD that is called BRAIN, each Brain is unique in connecting the threads of life experiences and in converting them in wonderful words.
Mouthshut.com is a family of very decent personalities who are caring enough to write for others, reviewing other’s writings and commenting sincerely. Even when we fight or compete with each other on this platform, it carries a purpose of making ourselves clearer in thinking, writing, understanding and expressing
Who can write
I think everybody on this earth can write. I mean it. We have a unique range of members on MS which consists of the intellectuals ranging from teenager-matured to quite elderly-children. We actually keep writing out thoughts in the air all the time we are thinking. We keep on polishing, improvising and perfecting those thoughts even sometimes without knowing it. We unknowingly do some acts to judge or test the correctness of our thoughts and once we establish the correctness they form the shape of words and become a review. We all do a lot of efforts of drafting and finalizing our reviews before posting them and more we grow in our number of reviews, more polished we become in expressing ourselves. MS is a classroom of numerous students from various backgrounds, some already brilliant(GIVE mode - by writing excellent reviews), some seeking brilliance(TAKE mode - by reading other’s reviews/comments and writing theirs’) and some making others brilliant(GIVE and TAKE Mode - by reading their reviews and posting exorbitant comments)
So the overall purpose of everybody here becomes to deliver the BEST and to seek the BEST.
Why to write
Why one writes. We are all human beings – urging to deliver. Understanding a message from Nature that more we get more responsible we become to deliver to maintain the balance and to seek more and ultimately to deliver more. I think anybody who joins MS and posts reviews never knows whether his posting will be a Hit or Miss but still tries to express sincerely and after posting curiously waits for the hits(visits of members and non members), how his/her views matches with other members(by the way of comments by other members and the ratings), and ultimately analyzing how to improvise in his/her next review. This process makes him/her delivering good-better-best review after review. We write for ourselves by putting down the words and thereby vetting our thoughts(but in turn each of the review posted becomes a source of inspiration for others). This place is a very healthy space to compete and to excel.
When
MS has a potential of giving the opportunity to write on any subject/category., and the privilege to seek a new category if it is not there. There are numerous categories existing already(it is a ocean full of categories, each category being a river). Browsing through existing categories give plentiful of ideas in selecting appropriate topic for a review. Browse-Select a category-select a topic-start thinking-convert thoughts into words by drafting-self review before posting-post on MS-wait for response-improvise.
Write for whom
Writing mainly is for our own! Perhaps yes, perhaps no! When I get convinced that yes what I am going to write is meaningful, purposeful and is going to deliver to me and others in one way or the others, I write.
How
Don’t feel shy(especially for new members) to express yourself as you have got an opportunity/platform to express yourself to others. Express yourself even if you can not because even an adolescent can express without uttering a single word. Don’t worry if you don’t get many readers in the beginning. This is an ocean, and I promise nobody amongst us has been able to explore it completely, the deeper we go into it, the more we urge to dive down. Have urge, hunger and fire in your belly to express yourself. Don’t get bogged down by the ratings and comments on your initial reviews. Don’t run away! Don’t leave this battlefield. We all are equal here and nobody has a right to be fairer amongst us.
