Since childhood, I’ve followed WWF/WWE and pro-wrestling in an on and off manner. Like a few posters have already pointed out, when we were younger, we didn’t realize that all this was fake. We really thought Undertaker won the matches because he was damn good; not because the story line writers said so. When we first started realizing that these were fake, the interest waned a bit.
But me and my peers kept on coming back-just for the sheer entertainment value. It was always a joy to see wrestlers getting battered down only to shift the momentum, pull off a quick finisher and grab the win. The thrill of it never gets old, especially when the actually skilled wrestlers are fighting.
