What I’m gonna write now is the absolute true concept of pro-wrestling. I’ve been a fan of pro-wresling for a long time. And it took me some time to spend over the internet to know the real concept. I’m now an internet ’smark’. ’Smark’ refers to the section of wrestling fans who know and understand the absolute concept of pro-wrestling. On contrary, ’mark’ refers to the section of wrestling fans who don’t really know the true concept, but take what they see on TV to be absolutely real.
First off, there is no such thing as winning or losing inpro-wrestling. Pro-wrestling is all about performing. The results arepre-determined in this sport, and the ability of a wrestler is judgedon how well they perform, not upon winning and losing. You might wonderthat Shawn Michaels often keeps losing matches after matches but yet heis the greatest of all time. Why ? Because Shawn Michaels is the bestdamn performer ever, and performing is all that matters. Ever seen abad match of Shawn Michaels ? I don’t think so. He often loses matchesagainst new comers, why ? Because that’s the concept of creating futurewrestling stars. Supposing Shawn Michaels loses against Carlito, thatbrings Carlito into the spotlight and makes him popular, and that helpsCarlito’s career. What can be gained by Shawn Michaels winning most ofthe matches ? Nothing, because he is already an established wrestler.His responsibility is to create future stars so that the wrestlingbusiness succeed. Wrestlers who lose to others are called ’jobbers’. Inother words, Michaels jobs frequently to help create new generation ofsuperstars.
Next comes the list of crap wrestlers. John Cena is probably the worstwrestler the business have seen lately. Surprised ? Yes, it’s true thathe is a crap wrestler. The question comes, if he is a crap wrestlerthen why was he allowed to keep the WWE title for so long, and why ishe often on the main event scene winning matches ? The answer is thatCena is incredibly popular among the teenage kids, thus in the processhis merchandise like T-shirts, wrist bands, etc are hot selling itemsand that benefits the company. The WWE is trying to develop Cena into afuture star, and that’s the reason he is always kept pusing into themain event scene and he is often scripted to win his matches. Don’tbelieve me ? Go to any internet wrestling community board and ask theexperianced fans, they will tell you that Cena is the crappiestwrestler to come out in maybe the last 5 years. I know it’s hard tobelieve for all of you, as it was for me before I became a ’smark’.
Not only that, there are many other wrestlers who are Crap. Masters, Nash, Goldberg, etc are some examples. Goldberg is a big star, but whenit comes to wrestling he is damn crappy. I was just as surprised as youare now, before I knew the real concepts. The art of pro-wrestling isnot to injure yourself or any of your fellow wrestlers. Goldberg have atendancy to injure all his opponents. In fact it’s him who ended Brethart’s career.
You wanna know who are the best wrestlers in the business currently ?Finlay and Regal. Shawn Michaels is the best, followed by Finlay andRegal. Surprised ? It’s normal, don’t worry. You often see the dramaand stories in the WWE, those are called storylines. They have no linkwith the real life of those wrestlers. The WWE have writers who arecalled the ’creative department’, and it’s them who writes thestorylines which take place in the business.
