Form and Display: Feel good factor is good, is very light and feels delicate. Currently available in only white color. Display is sharp and crisp. Checked out 4K video and it was stunning. Mi4i boasts of easy view under sunlight which is fairly ok.
OS: Miui is easy to handle and old tricks remain however a new easy flashlight trick too has been observed same can be checked on youtube. Lolipop version seems fine infact the sooner you get latched on data you are pinged for an update which I was surprised and went for an update. So my observations are post updated version
Camera- Primary camera is superb but in low light conditions things go bit shady. In well lit conditions it takes superb snaps color reproduction too is very good. Selfie folks would love the secondary.
Memory and Mileage the talk of Indians: Mi4i boasts of 16gb of which around 12.9Gb is available. Many have cursed the phone for its poor memory(No expandable slot) however Xiaomi has its own explAnasultantions to it. OTG facility is available alongwith cloud services so that shouldnt be a problem.
Power and Throttles: No lags observed during Games(Asphalt 8, Dead Trigger 2) ran smoothly. Not into antutu benchmarks as I believe in user hands on experience. Battery back up is fine. Despite playing for hours and on continuous wifi, juice still remains till the day. Best thing quickcharge does charges up the phone preety quick.
Sound: This section is the only section where we have all the cons. I hope Xiaomi could check on this with some update. Sound output is very low. You may not hear your phone in a noisy enviTestingronyent. You have to keep equaliser pitched on high notes to hear music. This needs to be improved.
Other complaints raised like High Temperature havent observed such during games or on continuous wifi not even on charging or while on call. Moreover high temp is an issue in fairly all smartphones to a certain extent. But a new thing has been observed about secondary camera going hazy and completely blurred post software update.Hope Xiaomi sorts that as well alongwith Sound issue.
Miscellaneous:
Xiaomi service centres are limited and in certain cities only.
If at all one wants to buy screenguard it is available on stores some rip offs.
Keep updated on MI site they keep offering things for free however aint sure of its deliverable still awaiting for my MI Cover that I registered for(Latest News I received the free Screenguard from Xiaomi Mi Website).
I hope I have covered most of the sections if anything missing do post in comment section I would try to cover that up as well. Cheers.
