I had purchased this phone for 13k Rupees via Amazon India. At the time I purchased it, it was probably the best phone for its price range. I have absolutely no complaints with this phone. The screen quality is fantastic, the camera is really good. There is no problem in taking or ending calls, the mic is good. What I liked the most is, the look and feel of this phone. It is really compact and screen to body ratio is perfect for one handed usage compared to other 5 inch display phones.
The display panel is 1080p IPS grade and it is crystal clear. Just one complaint I have got with MI phones is that the company does not roll out official updates very often. They take too much time for it to happen. For example, I got its Android V6(Marshmallow) update after the release of Android V7(Nougat) which is a whole 1 year delay.
Another glitch that I have noticed with my phone is that the volume control buttons sometimes don’t work and call ringtone goes mute at times.
Overall, there is no serious issue to complaint about and some issues may be subjective and unit specific. But the customer service is fine. This phone still competes well even after 2 years of its initial release. This is a good Value for Money deal.
