Hello everyone. I buyed this smartphone on 2nd november, 2015 at ? 7, 000.
And this is my first review on this smartphone after using 2.5 months. Redmi 2 prime has a 4.70 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchsreen. Resolution of this phone is 720×1280 pixels which gives a 312 pixels per inch and I would say that screen is very good, its viewing angels are nice.
If I talk about its brightness it can go preety bright. The touch of the phone i.e., form factor is very good or I can say its excellent. Its operating system is android 4.4.4 KitKat and till now I have not got any update for android. It’s User Interface ( UI) is MIUI 6 which performed without any lags or hickups.
I have got update for MIUI 7 and after its updating its battery performance is little bit improved and nothing more happened after update MIUI 7. Its proceesor is Qualcomm MSM8916 snapdragoan 410 chipset with a 1.2 GHz quad core cortex A53 CPU. Its Graphics processing unit ( GPU) is adreno 306 and I will say that it handles games preety well but you will see some lags on heavy Games otherwise gaming performance is very good, considering the price point. One thing about redmi 2 prime is that it has manudactured in india. It is little different from redmi 2.
Now in redmi 2 prime we have 16GB of ROM and 2GB of RAM. Taking about its camera it has 8MP rear Camera and 2MP front camera. And its 8MP camera shoots very good outdoor images and indoor its above average but I will say that at this price you cannot find better camera like redmi 2 prime. Its secondary camera is not good, its average. It can record Full HD videos i.e., it records 1080p videos and videos quality is decent. Now talking about its speakers so I will say that speakers are very loud and clear, while playing games I has to lower done the volume as because its so loud. Over the top it has 3.5 mm headphone jack which are also very loud and amazing. Talking about its space it has 16GB internal storage out of which I got around 12Gb space free because no blotware apps were present on mobile. Because of its 2gb RAM its multitasking is very good, the apps are till open on background, I have no complaints. The pysical of mobile is made of high plastic and so its comfartable to your hands, feels good in hands. It has accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass SENSORS. Last thing about this phone is about its battery. It has 2200 mAh battery which supports fast battery. It charges 50% in one hour. I got around 4hours of screen on time on this phone. Overall I can say about battery is that its battery is above average. It supports Sd card and also otg pendrive. You can move some apps on Sd Card also but not all apps. Also browsing experience was good, it upload websites fastly. Its ear piece call qullity is very good, I have no complaints about it. Its a 4G phone.
Overall this phone is very good.
I will recoomend this phone to buy.
