Using in india and very happy with performance of 1gb ram version. For the price there is very little that can compare. However a lot of xiaomi software is only chinese even tho the rest of the phone is english. This does not impact upon using the device at all as it really is optional boatware, you can install a custom rom anyway if thats so much of an issue.
Stock rom has about~300mb ram free with general use. Game performance is good(a little lag on Heathstone during loading but not really present in game), battery lasts~2 days with general use. Camera quality is good.
