Redmi 2 is a nice phone with pros and cons as below but I feel there is some kind of seeded issue induced by company to get money from servicing this phone.
pros:
Great battery backup,
Good performance for price
Overall great budget phone with brilliant features.
Nice camera quality
Some of the camera inbuilt scanning for bar-codes etc when connected to internet gives information quicly.
cons:
Slow at times
Can’t clear duplicate contacts
Can’t gives longer contact names
BAD SERVICE at MI SERVICE CENTER(Read my story below)
Mother board replacement required after 1 year of usage(july 2015-2016)
Story:
I had to waste 2-3 hrs of my office hour’s time servicing my redmi 2. After diagnosis they said mother board is gone - for no reason: This happened just on warranty expiry date and the MI service center(Indiranagar-Bangalore) was closed most of the days in range of 10 days I visited recently.
They also charged for the service Rs 170 or so and informed me that it costs Rs 3500/- to replace the mother board. I LOST both MONEY & TIME. With some additional money I can buy a new mobile.
It’s really disappointing to see this pathetic service and I feel may this occurred due MIUI update I did- first the screen display went off and then the mobile didn’t even get charged.
I will never buy this company mobiles again.
