If am not wrong 2 years ago people had a notion, Chinese phones are of cheap quality. I too belonged to that group which would go for a Samsung or Nokia or if higher range than Apple. But now since the launch of Redmi 1s the phone industry saw a drastic change.
I was sceptical of buying redmi 2, as the spects seemed to be unbelievable at the price it offered when compared to other bigger brands. With doubt in mind I did order Redmi 2, and to my surprise I couldn’t believe the experience
I had. It’s been 2years am using the device. It still runs fine. A little hiccups occur some times around. But hey that’s normal isn’t it. Especially when you paid just 7k for a phone with superb processor, decent camera, fuild experience and user experience.
MiUi never disappointed me, though being a heavily skinned UI. It had its share of disadvantages too, but the user experience is really smooth. The customisation options are great, and gives you freedom to make the device feel as you want it to be.
Reliability is sometimes an issues with these brands, however I had a very smooth experience having using the device pretty roughly. Redmi 2 was the device that ticked all the boxes one required to have in their phone at the price point. And I can say Xiaomi has really made its name in the market with its superb products that are of good quality and reliable. It made it purchase 3 more of Xiaomi devices.
It houses a very powerful snapdragon 410 soc, that is powerful and efficient. The GPU is very powerful giving you the freedom to play most of the graphic heavy games. The cameras were best in class, no other device performed that great in the price point. 1gb ram could help you get through any heavy task. Design was slim and very comfortable to use. Overall a phone that will stand out in its class.
I would strongly suggest people to go for the product with the price tag of just 6000. It offers a lot.
