I purchased this device for my mother and it has been around 7 months. It’s an elegant phone with a decent configuration at this price range. I purchased this phone via Flipkart for 8500 INR. One of the main features of this phone that attract the buyers is the size. It’s not big and also not very small. It’s sturdy and made with good quality materials.
About the hardware, it packs a Snapdragon 430 with a 3GB of ram, which is a huge deal for the money what we are spending. At this price range, it’s hard to find handsets with this configuration. Xiaomi is providing regular updates which are a boon. The device is always up to date and there is not even a single bug related to the software till now. It also packs an Adreno 505 GPU which is just enough to run most of the games available now without any hiccups.
The battery in this phone is the main thing to mention. For its 5 Inch 720p display with 294ppi, 4100mAh battery is just jaw dropping. The screen is the main culprit in many of the phones which drive a lot of battery juice. In this phone with a 5-inch display and a battery having 4100mAh capacity, you would easily get’s around 2 days period, even with regular usage. I have got standby time once for around 4-5 days with only using it for calling.
The primary camera is a 13MP shooter capable of 1080p recording. The camera provides decent image output and the focusing is what made me really happy. It gives a good depth of field(Blurred background) feeling while taking macro shots.

The call quality and the volume levels are normal. The back speaker is a little bit let down. The sound is not at all loud as well as it sucks on clarity. Also, the phone heats up while the mobile data is set to on for longer period of time. But complaining things like this for a phone under this price range doesn’t feel good. But I had to mention every minute errors with this phone. Otherwise, it’s going to be a biased review. I don’t want that to happen.
The phone comes with an internal store capability of 32GB and is enough for normal usage. Also, there is a provision for expanding the storage with a microSD card up to 256GB but you need to sacrifice your secondary sim for it. The phone weights around 150 gms and is made of the aluminium casing on the back and glass on the front. Overall this is a nice phone for this price range.
