Xiaomi has made quite a name for itself in the Indian smartphone market by offering affordable yet feature loaded devices. The recent launch of the Redmi 3S(Prime) bears a price tag of Rs 8, 999.
DESIGN and DISPLAY:
The smaller size of Redmi 3S Prime makes it more compact and easier to use with one hand.
The phone sports a metallic unibody design which looks very attractive. The back panel has a matte finish and round edges make for a comfortable and non-slippery grip in the hand.
The front panel is largely dominated by a 5-inch HD display, and has three capacitive keys at the bottom edge. The top edge houses a 3.5mm audio jack along with an IR blaster for controlling TVs and other appliances. The micro USB charging port is placed at the bottom. As for the rear panel, it’s home to a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, as well as a fingerprint sensor.
The display is fairly visible under bright sunlight. The only problem I found with the Redmi 3S Prime’s panel is that it is quite glossy and prone to fingerprint and smudges.
PERFORMACE and CAMERA:
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports memory cards of up to 256GB in size.
The phone can also handle multitasking very easily.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime sports a massive 4, 100mAh battery, which will easily last upto 2-3 days, if used moderately.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.
The camera is pretty fast and has a user-friendly interface. Below the different modes is the option for camera settings, where it’s possible to change things like camera shutter sound, save location and picture quality.
Camera focus is really good, and the pics came out to be really good.
Finally, I strongly recommend this phone, given such cool features at such a low price.
