Redmi 4 Design:
When we first saw Radmi 4 in our office, we made it a mistake to understand the’light’ of Redmi 4 or a small variant. The design of these two phones is quite similar. In the pre-launch event of Radmi 4, Shawmy’s product manager, Jai Mani, got the gadgets 360 that the look of the Redmi 4 was inspired by the big Shomi Redmi Note 4( Review). Radmi 4’s all-metal rear is polished and the last variant makes this phone more premium. However, this fears the sliding of the phone, and during our review, it is often avoided to fall in the attempt to take pictures from the phone during our review.
There has not been a major change in the basic formula of the Redmi series. Like the Redmi 3S, the Redmi 4 has 5 inch screens. The new model though 8. Feels slightly thick with 65 mm thickness and weighs 150 grams. The thickness of the Redmi 3S was 8.5 millimeters and weighing 144 gm. Overall, despite the increase in thickness or weight, the Redmi 4 has not changed much because it is easy to use the phone with one hand.
We have never had trouble using the fingerprint sensor. The phone has only one I logo on the rear, but in small letters’Designed by Shamoi / Made in India’ has been written. We liked a protective ring around the camera lens.
The phone has the power and volume buttons on the right side. And one hand comes easily to use the phone during use. To charge the charging and data in the phone, a micro-USB port is provided below. Grill on the other side, although only one of these speakers is there. The top is a 3.5mm audio jack and infrared ammeter.
The phone has the navigation buttons just below the screen but they are not backlit, Which means that it will be difficult to use them in the dark. A notification is just below the Home button and is shiny to alert the user for incoming notifications. Like the other Redmi smartphone, the new Redmi 4 smartphone comes with a dual-SIM tray, which means that the user will be able to use two SIM cards and a sim card or a MicroSD card simultaneously. The Radmi 4 smartphone will be available in Champagne Gold and Matt Black Color variants. And we got matte black color for review.
The phone will find a guidebook, a data cable, a power adapter and a sim projector tool in the retail box.
Redmi 4 specification and software:
Chaomi Redmi 4 has a 5 inch HD(720x1280) IPS display that comes with 2.5D Curved-edge Glass. It seems that Shaami has got a redmi smartphone for less than Rs. 10, 000, for the first time. 5d glass is used. The phone has 4100 MAH non-removable battery. The company used the same battery in the previous Redmi 3S smartphone and it is being said to be the biggest feature of the phone. The phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor that runs on 1.4GHz. Redmi 4 has three variants - 2 GB RAM / 16 GB storage, 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage. Our review unit was of 3 GB RAM / 32 GB of storage. The storage of Redmi 4 can be increased to 128 GB via microSD card.
This phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with aperture F / 2.0, PDAF and an LED flash. For Selfie, the phone has a 5-megapixel front camera with aperture F / 2.2. The new Radmi 4 smartphone will support connectivity features like 4G and VOLTE. On using sim card simultaneously, This phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, above which Chemoi has a MIUI 8.2 skin. This is a stable build we saw in Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A . Which means that there are many software features in the Redmi 4 which we have already seen. It also includes dual apps, so that two accounts of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp or any other app can be played. The display can be shrunk in one corner, with one-handed mode, which makes everything easy to reach. The phone also has a scrolling screenshot feature that allows screenshots of the entire webpage to be taken. Users can lock the app from child mode, And second space offers users the ability to create two profiles to keep business and personal data separate on the same device.

Speaking of the previous redmi phone, many apps are already installed in Redmi 4 such as Music, Me Pix, Me Community, News, Security, Notes, Recorder and Weather. The theme allows the user to store themes, wallpapers, Select from ringtones and fonts. The device also has a me store app through which Shami products and accessories can be purchased. We think the UI interface may be lightweight if it does not have too many apps. But not all of them can be deleted and they consume a lot of storage in the device. Some third-party apps are pre-installed in the phone such as Amazon, PhonePay Wallet, Flipkart, Facebook and Swift.

The Redmi 4 smartphone Android 7.0 does not run on Nuga nor supports Google Assistant at the review, which makes us frustrated. Long-pressing the Home button, Now-on-Tap feature-based search box opens. Shawmi says that there will be updates for Android Noga in Redmi 4. And before that Google Assistant can get it, but the company has not promised any date.
Redmi 4 camera:
13 megapixel rear camera fast focuses and its credit goes to the Phase Detection Autofocus feature. The camera app has a face recognition feature which can be easily used. Compare the Redmi 3s prime, so we found the autofocus of Radmi 4 faster. Photos from the camera come in detail and sharp, while the colors remain vibrant. Most of the time color pictures in landscape pictures remain accurate.
but, On HDR mode, photos are extremely slow captures and process and we have a bigger complaint from the device. When the HDR mode is turned on, the user has to keep his hand stable for a good picture.
It takes a lot of noise when taking pictures in low light from the rear camera. Some shots taken in low light were very poor. Good pictures come with 4 redmi in the night, but only when the subject has a good light.
The camera app of Radmi 4 is simple and it is easy to use. The app has many settings and features. HDR mode launches on just one tap. The phone has live filters. The video can be recorded to 720 pixels and 1080 pixels from the phone and the video quality is also great.
Selfie coming from Redmi 4 is fine. But the image is slowly processor. In the desire to take quick selfies, we used to take blurry selfie several times.
Altogether, The camera of Shaomi Redmi 4 is better than the previous Redmi 3S prime review if you look at the focus and performance. There is a problem with poor quality in low light in the camera and slow processing in HDR mode. We hope that this problem will be resolved with updates.
Redmi 4 Performance:
Shaomi Redmi 4’s general performance was fantastic and the device made the most work easier. The MiU interface looks sleek sometimes, but the app performance is not affected. In games like Asphalt 8 and Cut the Rope 2, we play games easily. During the review we did not see any major problems in the phone. Nor did the phone get hotter than it needed.
We reviewed the unit with 3 GB RAM and only 1 in the phone. 2GB memory was empty. Which means that there can be a problem in multi-tasking in the Shamoami Redmi 4 with 2 GB RAM variants. Even if the memory was empty near 1 GB, we did not slow down the phone. But we recommend that you spend a little more money and take 4 GB RAM variants.
The voice quality in the phone is superb and the phone supports VoLTE. The headset is not available with the phone so we tested our earphones so that the sound quality was influenced by us.
5 inch IPS display is bright and looks sharp sharp. Screen Crisp is equipped with a spectacular viewing angle. However, it is not the best HD display ever seen in the Redmi phone. Color reproduction was good, but in our advice, the Redmi 3s proved to be better in this case. The screen can be read and used directly in sunlight. The phone has a good experience to watch movies and play games with a 5-inch display. The phone has a reading mode.
The phone did well in benchmark testing. With this phone we get data such as smartphones with a Snapdragon 430 processor.
The Radmi 4 smartphone battery has been in our HD Video Loop Test for 14 hours and 20 minutes, which is good. We will give the credit of the performance found in the battery loop test to the screen of low-HD resolution. With regular use, The battery lasted one day. The phone has a power saving mode which allows the phone to charge once for a long time. The phone does not come with fast charging adapter but Jai Mani of Shawomi told us that the phone supports fast charging. We hope Shami will sell a fast charging adapter as an additional accessory for Redmi 4, or you can buy it from a third party. Even before
our decision:
Redmi Smartphone has set standards for the second smartphone in this price segment. And the Redmi series put the capabilities of a budget smartphone in front of everyone. The same applies for Redmi 4. Shaomi’s latest entry level redmi performance, battery life and design is the perfect package. Camera quality is a thing in which the phone disappoints, But it is useless to expect too much from this price phone.
Shyomi Redmi 4 will replace Radmi 3S(and Redmi 3S Prime) sometime later and the main phone for less than Rs 10, 000 will be the main phone. The company has priced the price of 2 GB RAM / 16 GB storage at Rs 6, 999, 3GB RAM / 32 GB storage at Rs 8, 999 and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant at Rs 10, 999. Talking about the middle version, we got 1.28 GB memory free all the time. We advise people to buy some expensive but more storage variants. Redmi bump 4 smartphone Samsung Galaxy J 2(2016), 6 Power Lenovo( review), Oppo A 37 will. But this will be the biggest challenge given by Shyomi’s own Redmi Note 4, which has a much better processor, Large screen and much better camera.
Availability of these smartphones is a big issue. The last redmi 3S(redmi 3s prime), redmi 4a and redmi note 4 smartphones have been difficult to buy in the stock. While these smartphones have been sold at flipkart and company’s online store.
