Hi,
Have been using the basic Xiaomi phone for over 2 years now and recently decided to upgrade to 3GB/32GB note 4g phone.
(Main aim was to be a part of transition from 3g to 4g, but the transition was not something breathtaking. In India there is hardly a difference between 3g and 4g).
After using the phone for over a month now, here are few of my takeaways(would not be talking about the features of phone):
Body
The smartphone has a metal unibody which is a double edged sword because with a curved back bloody it looks pretty sleek and bold. But on the other hand the same feature makes it extremly slippery .you literally feel as if you are carrying a sleek slippery soap in your hand which can bounce any time.
There’s 2.5D arc glass on top with slight edges on the sides makes it look classy.
Battery
The highlight is 4, 100 mAh battery and trust me it’s way way better than its predecessors and it works well for over a day with average internet usage. While on stand by mode, the battery just refrains from draining.
Other features
The fingerprint scanner is at the back is just an added useless feature.
The phone comes with awesome feature of enabling dual apps which allows users to run two Whatsapp or Facebook accounts in the same phone.
The phone didn’t heat up unlike like older version which literally used to heat up more than my oven.
Camera
Was really disappointed with the same as it falls to capture the real essence of the picture and tries to enhance it . In the process the originality of the picture is lost and what you end up with is just another over edited picture.
Weight
It weighs 165 g(5.82 oz) which is way lighter than the older version . Inspite of being sightly bigger than the older version, it still weighs lesser than it.
Colors
I opted for black while other colours available are Gold and grey.
Size
5.5 inches(~72.7% screen-to-body ratio) which is standard as per the latest phones available in the market.
Resolution
1080 x 1920 pixels, is something that I liked about this phone and hence didn’t disappoint me on the resolution front.

With the price bracket it is into, Xiaomi phone has an added advantage of brand recall and goodwill which works for it and hence would like to say that there might be better phones available in the market at the same price.
