Well on paper this device is awesome but let us see how it is in the practical life I have been using this device with my primary sim for 6 months now yes it is a long term review of the Redmi note 4 so lets look at the pros and the cons first lets start with the things that I liked about this device that is the * pros
1) Build quality-the build quality of this device is good it has a metal body so it is tough also while the back is a little bit slippery I would recommend you to use this device with a case.Apart from that everything is good the phone looks and feels premium.
2) Battery Life- With 4000 mah battery and the power efficient Snapdragon 625 processor battery life was bound to be awesome the phone easy lasts 2 days from a single charge on moderate usage talking about screen on time it gives me about 7-10 hours of screen on time( I am a heavy user) .
3) Performance- Snapdragon 625 with Xiaomis custom mi ui skin the phone rocks the performance everything is smooth in the device the phone is very fast considering the price there have been a few minor lags while heavy usage or heavy multi tasking but apart from that the phone is awesome in performance never had any issues ( have been using it for 6 months) 3) Gaming- I personally feel if a gamer wants a smartphone which is great for gaming and has the budget of the 10000 this is going to be my 1st choice witb adreno 506 GPU the games work flawlessly even heavy games have no lag whatsoever.
4) Display- It has 5.5 inch FHD IPS LCD display with a ppi of 401 the display that Xiaomi has put on this device is awesome the brightness is adequate under direct sunlight also the colors are vibrant and multimedia consumption is also awesome.
5) Value for money- this mobile for a price of ten thousand rupees is the best you can get and it is definitely value for money.
6) Cellular call quality is good tried with jio and tata docomo in Bangalore. Now let us look at some of the cons of this device
1) MIUI -I like how customisable it is but the issue is it is very heavy and it hinders the performance of the phone as it is heavily skinned BTW this is my personal opinion people may like how customisable it is so it depends upon what you like stock Android or customisation.
2) Speaker Quality- The speaker is not loud enough I was not able to hear a ringtone if the phone was in another room and the music output is also not good while the music output via the headphone jack is ok.
3) Camera- While the camera does a fair job in outdoor lighting but it suffers tremendously in low light video recording is terrible on the device the voice captured by its mic is very bad .Selfie camera is also pretty bad
4) Service- Anyone who has visited the Xiaomi service centre knows how bad it is now I personally havent gone to the service centre but my friend had gone and he said me that it was the worst experience he ever had
That were the pros and cons of the Redmi note 4 I feel this is definitely a great smartphone for its price while for the same price if you buy a Samsung you will not get half its features yes it has minor cons but I feel considering the price it is an absolute beast in the smartphone market no doubt it is the most sold Mobile phone in India
