Ive purchased and been using Redmi Note 4 for more than a week. First of all, the device is truly attractive and feels premium. I have the model with 4gb of RAM and is more than enough to run any apps or games without any hiccups. The 4100 mAh battery will keep the phone running for more than a day even with constant usage. With heavy usage, it could last a day for sure.
About the performance of the phone when compared with the previous Redmi Note 3, its not up to the mark. Its good but not as good as the Note 3. The Note 3 packs a Hexa-core CPU with Snapdragon 650 and Adreno 510 GPU which was a better configuration compared to Redmi Note 4 with Octa core, Snapdragon 625 and Adreno 506. But you wont be feeling a huge change in performance.
About the Camera, Note 4 stands way ahead of Note 3, even it have a 13MP shooter and Note 3 have a 16MP. The Note 4 primary shooter comes with micro pixel which improves the camera output. The secondary camera configuration remains the same. The screen to body ratio is around 0.3% larger compared to Note 3 and the PPI and the resolution remains the same.
About the issues I have faced in this smartphone are 1. There were many software bugs in the beginning but luckily Xiaomi is rolling out timely bug fixes and updates to solve the issues. 2. One time the hardware keys stopped working and was a software issue. Solved it by restarting. After that received a few updates and never faced any bugs till now.
This cell phone is overall a bang fo the buck!
Go for it without any hesitation.
