It is a well known fact that the redmi note 4 is one of the best phone of year 2017. I got the 64GB variant from the Flipkart bigbillion days for 11000 rupee. Phone is bundled with Snapdragon 625 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of the storage.
Build quality
Xiaomi has done fair job in this department. The metal body looks premium and feels good in the hand. Back of the phone is somewhat slippery but it provides sufficient grip. On the top you get 3.5 mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and noise cancellation mic. Personally I like IR blaster and it works good with almost evry electronic device and it does have good working range. On back bottom you get single speaker clear and loud enough for your music needs. On the top back a single 13 Mp shooter is provided below which a fingerprint sensor is mounted.
Software
The phone comes with Android 7 preloaded and MI UI 8. The company has launched MI UI 9 for redmi Note 4 also so the software won’t be an issue. You get lot of customisation options as well.
Hardware and performance
Hardware provided does decent job. Snapdragon processor handle multitasking and gaming very easily. FHD screenbis also bright and easily readable in sunlight as well.
The reading mode is good for reading pdf and while browsing to avoid strain in eyes. Talking about gaminh I have run few heavy games like asphalt and nova 3 and they did run very well. Phone didnt heat up that much while gaming. Fingerprint sensor is fast and live upto its expectations
Sound quality
Sound quality vai headphone jack is good enough. The single speaker provide at bottom is also lound and clear. No issues.
Camera
Single 13 megapixel camera provided does a fair job but not up to the mark. It takes good picture in well lighted condition but fail in low lighting. If you are looking for a camera centric phone so I have to say it’s not the one.but if you are casual pics taker then its ok the same goes with the front camera in a nutshell I have to say the camera quality could have been better.
Battery life
This is the department for the phone Beats all the other competitors. the battery lasts for the 2 today and one full working day for heavy rough uses. The battery doesn’t get heat up while gaming as well. The 5 volt 2 amp charger provided does a good job to charge the phone it takes almost 2 hours to charge the phone fully.
So at last I would say its a great phone and it delivers what it promises.
