This phone is a great device no doubt in that and it comes with a really good price tag too but Redmi Note 5 Pro is a much better device than this one. Xiaomi just renamed Redmi 5 Plus and launched it as Redmi Note 5, now I wonder how they are gonna release the Redmi 5 in India maybe they will name it Redmi Note 5 Lite( Pun intended) . Now coming back to the point, it is a great device but just look at the differences between the two phones.Redmi Note 5 runs on a Snapdragon 625 processor ( the same old good chip) while the Redmi Note 5 pro comes with Snapdragon 636 processor which is far better in performance than Note 5, Note 5 pro has dual cameras and a stunning 20 MP front camera which is far more superior than Note 5’s 8 MP front shooter. Considering the price if your budget is 10k then you should surely go for this one and if you can extend your budget than ofcourse Redmi Note 5 Pro is the ultimate choice. I won’t recommend the 4 GB variant of Redmi 5 because you can get a much better phone for just Rs.2000 more and also the Redmi Note 5 Pro’s 6 GB RAM variant is also not worth it considering the price difference between the 4GB ram variant and 6GB ram variant, I don’t think it’s a good idea to spend Rs.3k more just to get that additional 2 gigs of RAM.Tip: You can save those Rs.3k and add Rs.2k to that and get a Redmi 5a and gift it to someone in your family. : P
