We all know the fact that Redmi Note 5 pro was a hugely popular phone because of the value it provides with just 15k and because of the class leading Camera Performance too! Xiaomi released the next generation phone of Redmi Note series and I will explain more about the phone in this review. So let’s get started!
The phone is not that beautiful as that of its competitors like the honor 8X and Nokia 6.1 plus. It is very similar to Redmi Note 5 pro with a little changes like adding a notch to the front which is not that great looking because of its width and the bottom bezel or chin is huge too! The back is made of metal with top and bottom made of plastic for good signal strength. It feels great in hand. It is not a great phone if you prefer design rather than performance. Then your pick should be Honor 8X which looks good and performs well than note 6 pro.
Performance of the phone is similar to that of Redmi Note 5 pro because of the same processor used. It performs fine but not that great for the price you pay, there are other options like Realme 2 pro and Honor 8X which provides great performance in gaming and other tasks. It will provide good experience while playing games and using apps.I will recommend buying 4GB RAM model of this phone which provides best value for money performance. Battery life of this phone is great but charging time is high too! The phone charges through older micro USB port. We should have get modern USB for the price. The signal strength and call quality is good in this phone and you won’t face any problems while calling.
Software of this phone is the worst UI I’ve ever seen! You will see advertisement inside this phone’s UI .
Camera is the main selling point of even Redmi Note 5 pro as well as Note 6 pro. The Camera Performance of this phone is improved a lot from previous Redmi Notes. This time, they have put a bigger Samsung sensor for better performance. The camera is good in daylight as well as in lowlight. This phone is going to be the segment leader in camera department throwing realme 2 pro and Honor 8X apart! The selfie shooter is double now which provides great selfie bokeh pictures. The phone has quick focus, perfect bokeh pictures and a good video recording capabilities. But it can shoot videos only upto 1080p which doesn’t have any shakes and hence the video is buttery smooth. If your preference is Camera Performance, then this device is the best for you.
Display of this phone is good. This phone comes with a notch up top which is wider than its competitors. The display provides great viewing angles and Great brightness levels. The sound from the speakers are loud and good.
This phone is clearly a mind-blowing deal for those who love photography and videography. I won’t recommend upgrading from note 5 pro to 6 because the performance of processor as well as camera is almost same with only some changes.
