As of 21st May 2020, the price of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is Rs.14, 999. Well within affordability, no doubt. However, it has issues beyond its price. The phone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor which is where the main problem resides. I had high expectations with this device but was met with none overall. The phone suffers great amount of overheating after a continuous use of the device for about half an hour and because of that, there is also a tremendous amount of battery drain.
The phone also feels quite heavy as it weighs almost around 209 grams which after a point becomes uncomfortable to keep holding onto. For the same price range, there are better options available, with better features to offer as well as with better and faster processors. Even though the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max isn’t that expensive, it still doesn’t offer much.
