Here is the True Genuine Review Of The new Entrant in 9-10k segment the Xiaomi Redmi Y1.Xiaomi has pretty sharply made a spot on the most selling smartphones in India with their feature loaded phone at Unbeatable price.I would Divide my experience with phone in Pros and Cons and atlast a short review of the camera alone.
-Pros-
Light in weight and a Compact design though sporting 5.5-inch Large display.Look and feel of the phone is quite awesome.
Quick Responsive Fingerprint Sensor.
IR Blaster very handy as a Universal Remote Controller for all the devices at your home.
2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass For Protection against drops.
Dedicated Memory card slot.
Android Nougat Out-of-the box with Cherry topping of MIUI 9 which makes it awesome in terms of UI.
Decent lag free experirnce with apps running in background.
Heavy games like Asphalt 8 doesn’t turn the phone into a heater.
Lot of modes included in camera.
-Cons-
They could have used the 4100Mah battery rather than 3080MAh with a large screen.
Plastic body though it may look like metal.
-Camera-
The thing which shocked me was the cameras on this phone.This phone is a selfie-centric phone but it doesn’t perform very well in the camera department.You will get decent photos but nothing to be like boasted of.The Flashes on both sides helps to get photos in low light.Rear camera performs well as 13 Megapixel shooter.The selfie camera performs decent in daylight but it shows it other side in low light photography giving grainy photos not clear enough.
Atlast I would say that at a price of Rs-8999 Its a decent phone which will perform well at any task you give .I would recommend to pay few more bucks and go for the 4GB variant.
