The movie begins with a satellite crash in Brazil, where the NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons(Samuel L. Jackson) is on the lookout at recruiting a footballer Neymar Jr. for the xXx program.Both of them are killed or so and within moments four assassins headed by Xiang(Donnie Yen) breaks into the highly secured CIA headquarters and gets off with a device called as the "Pandora’s Box" that has the ability to crash any satellite at any location of the world, thus, making it a weapon of mass destruction, sounds a bit ridiculous, but given that this is an extreme action movie, its of no use to justify this logically. Jane Marke(Toni Collette), theCIA Agent seeks out the former xXx associate Xander Cage(Vin Diesel), who faking his death is on an exiled location. Xander is able to track the fugitives who took the device, at an island in Phillippines where he confronts Xiang(Donnie Yen) and his teammates Serena(Deepika Padukone), Talon(Tony Jaa) and Hawk(Michael Bisping). He later gets to know that they are all xXx recruits who stole the Pandora’s Box to stop it from falling into destructive hands. With all the extreme actions packed with martial arts, and complicated ammunitions, further supported by high end VFX, this movie zooms through quite well. Vin Diesel’s skateboard stunt is really impressive. Deepika is truly amazing, with all those gun fights and hand to hand combats, great work. The movie really justifies itself as an action thriller which is great to watch.
