Well well well!!!!! What do we have here. No let me describe the scenario to u. I come home tired from a terrible week. Its 5pm. I’m bored. I call a friend of mine and ask ’’Shall we go to XXX?’’
He says ’’No. Road to perdition’’. Unfortunately for my pal and me ’Road to Perdition’’ was showing only for members.(Actually I was pleased because I felt XXX would be a real cool flick. I hope God forgives me for such inane thought.)
We go to the theatre. Theres a massive crowd ranging from preteens to roadside romeos on their shoguns(no pun). Surprisingly we get tickets with great ease even though its a weekend and the first day. We enter the theatre.....
All hell breaks loose. Now let me warn you. There was this recent news that Nimulid was bad and could cause brain damage. Well guess whose its latest competitor ’’XXX!!’’.
They say this movie is Bond’s greatest rival. Well Bond has nothing to worry. Well let me stop digressing from the topic at hand, the review. Let me illustrate :-
Plot : Dumb freelance stuntman, destroys senator’s car because the senator detests rock music. Gets into trouble. Selected by even dumber government agent. Dodges helicopters and machine gun fire. Sent on a secret mission to a some God forsaken country to stop some unknown crime syndicate from unleashing chemical warfare. Has a fling with the Don’s keep. And the same old story, gets some gadgets, stops the missiles (which look like toys) and thats it. I would rather have sat at home and seen some old Rambo or Jackie Chan stuff than this bundle of horseshit.
The music is meant for Dummies with a death wish. The cast consists of an overgrown Diesel and u can actually sense the stench of his perspiration in the theatre. Samuel L Jackson has really lost it here. I would like to ask him Why Why did u do it? The girl Asia Argento is more like a puppet, just because the script needed a lady. Yuck. Well the only plus point is that the movie has OK stunts. Finally a word of caution please dont let that crazy music get to your head. Drive safely after u see it.
