Horror Reinvented

Its been a long time horror genre has come live in Tamil cinema. Though I don’t really watch horror movies neither of any language, this movie made me to gamble after good word of mouth verdicts. It was worth a gamble.Glued me for 2 hrs.

Movie is about Madhavan’s family entering new house 13B which is haunted by horrendeous past

chased on their daily life events via a tv serial and how the pratogonist resolves the puzzle & saves his family. Indeed an interesting plot. We should appreciate director vikram kumar not making typical gruesome horror movie, though scenes are spine chilling.

What differs from the regular horror movie is that what actually haunted the house and why, which gives us considerable imaginative latitude, with remarkable efficiency and credible atmospherics.

The hero of movie is P C Sreeram, the master, pumps up adrenalin which every single frame. Angles, Shot selection, color, light, backgroung aptly fits into the movie. I can understand why all his sishyas are well crafted. Exceptional Master. Isn’t he?

Maddy carries entire movie on his shoulder with help of neat family supporting cast. Maddy has already become seasoned actor who plays very well within his acting boundries. Tubbi-Parik’s Overwrought juiced-up background score and sound effects adequately peps up to the narrative tension. Thanks to director and Shank-Ehsan-Loy for making short songs. Neetu makes fine note and she is’hot’ on songs.damn her!. Sreekar is always king on his editing.another gem.

Pats to Vikram kumar, first timer, giving us logical gripping thriller twist drama. He excels in taking audiences on an eerie, involving and ultimately extremely moving journey into the televisionset!. Innovative?. Good thing is he has sprinkled comedy whenever he had a chance. And at the end of the film there is a nice heartfelt that the movie ending in a postive note. normally doesn’t happen in a horror movie.

But really should appreciate making auidence to know there is a chance for making second part. Mobile?.Good.

I don’t wanna talk abt cons(even I didn’t do for ayan), because I am recommending this movie for every one. Enjoy the unforeseen shocks.
