Yaganti , is good place to see, and Sri yaganti Umamasewara swamy temple, dating back to 5th century is located in yerramala hills.Yaganti is 55 kms from Nandyal town in Kurnool district and easily reachable by road.It is the only temple where Lord Shiva is worshipped in Ardhanarishwara idol.No crow enters the area as per the curse of Saint Agastya, who did his penance here.The great saint Potluri veerabrahmendraswamy wrote part of kalagnanam in the nearby caves.
Another unique feature is that the Nandi, known as Yaganti Basavaiah is growing in size.
In the Venkateshwara cave, the idol of Lord Balaji , with broken nail on the thumb finger of foot, is worshipped.
The ideal time to visit is rainy season .The temple timings are from 6AM to 1PM and 3PM to 8PM. In this the water comes from unknown place and stays in koneru ( lake) .it is used to swim.
