Yahoo! This is one hell of a portal. It’s been around for years, has been consistent with the quality of its services, and really knows the right way to create an engaging Web experience. I am a regular Yahoo! user. I use their email service, I read a lot of news on the portal (especially Music news), I click on a lot of the banners only on Yahoo!, and I even use their search function very often. The technology being different from Google, it sometimes gives me a different set of results, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of my search.
Beyond the Web-related stuff, one must also acknowledge the fact that Yahoo! has got its branding elements right - a cool logo, excellent design, consistent user-friendliness, ongoing introduction of new features, and adding on more versatile functionalities to keep the competition at bay.
Overall, I think this is one of the most user-friendly portals. Unlike the Hotmails and Indiatimes of the world, you won’t catch yourself gnashing your teeth in front of your screen when you’re surfing Yahoo!
