Yahoo is most likely the highest hit webpage in the world by far in terms of search engines. Yahoo.com is a website that is offered to people to search for information around the world wide web pertaining to the information they put in the search bar. This is the easy part.
How hard could it be to enter in Hockey into a search bar and receive some matches in accordance to that. The only problem is that using the search engine, you may (like I) always have problems find what I am looking for.
Since Yahoo.com is such a popular site, people pay lots and lots of money to have their webpage as the top result in a search topic. For example, if you typed hockey (for example, so stop going to yahoo.com and checking this) you would get NCAA UCLA Bruins, a topic that is so off from what Im looking for. But because of this, I have to keep trying and place in specifics. I have to practically shake the search engines inanimate shoulders and say Look, here! I need to know about the rules about hockey!
The first topic should be the most relevant topic and that is hockey and not that of some guy who pays Yahoo to have it first. Its simply not fair to any web user. It can make it a frustrating experience. Although, the web results are quick, load up of the page seems to be one of the fastest Ive seen on the net.
As well on the yahoo site, you have easy to view access of Shopping, Games, Weather, News, Sports and a lot more. I love playing the new pool on the site!
Yahoo has a lot to offer including an email account plus an instant messenger to message all of your friends who also have the messenger.
I like yahoo for all the other characteristics but for yahoo I would rather use excite or altavista for more efficient results.
