Go for Yahoo! Mail

Yahoo! Mail is simply the best web based email server I`ve ever experienced! Believe it or not, I use it much more often than my Outlook Express...Yahoo! Mail comes with AntiVirus scanning by NORTON , a breakthrough for email-technology on the web!

Yahoo! Mail offers two signup lans for email. One is the `basic` plan and the other is known as Yahoo! Plus. Yahoo! Mail basic provides a bandwidth limit of 100 MB per account. This means that a hundred or maybe more emails can be stored. It has folders such as the address book, inbox, outbox, trash (deleted items), bulk (emails saved to be continued by user) etc....

It also has an antispamming option (which I use only very rarely in case I get an unwanted email), but I`m really suspicious whether it is really as efficient as that found in Yahoo! Mail Plus.

I think that the greatest aspect of Yahoo! Mail is actually it`s composer. It`s somewhat based on Microsoft Word and the typing dialogue interface is really easy to manipulate. Infact the features, look, buttons are approximately the same as in Microsoft Word. However, it looks pretty ordinary and basic to my eyes, but still, is upto it`s mark!

That`s why I use Yahoo! Mail, because it has many features which can be used to create fancy and attractive emails quickly and easily!

As websites are not intended to be perfect, so is Yahoo! Mail anyway! There are too many graphics and adverts on the webpage, taking longer to load, and in some cases, even breaking my internet connection. I still remember having this bad experience with Yahoo! Mail a year ago. I had to make an attempt to try and connect again and again (about 7 times) to be back online. Then what....my username session got expired, and I had to relogin again and wait for another annoying 90 seconds, to let the slow-secure server load. As I was in a rush, I had to leave my unchecked emails.

Next thing is the email attachment which I think is really bad! It may be useful, but the time it takes is really embarassing. The reason is because it takes too much to send a small file (of less than 1MB-the limit for an email attachment on Yahoo! Mail basic) to another person. That is why I prefer copying my file and sending it directly to a person. Yahoo! Mail attachment is something YOU MUST avoid to save time. Try the copy and paste option, it works well with both text and graphics!

Last is the subscription price of 20 US Dollars/yr for Yahoo! Mail Plus which in my opinion is a waste of money for 2GB of supposedly virtually unlimited bandwidth. The only thing better may be less adverts (less loading time). Wait, you must also be aware that not a lot of people use this service plan because I think that it is a totally washout, totally unneeded!

That is why I have never asked myself, or even more daring to ask my father into purchasing a subscription plan of Yahoo! Mail Plus for me, because till now I haven`t got any advice from my friends using this stuff telling me that it`s value for money! I very much prefer Yahoo! Mail basic which seems more appropriate for ALL types of users!
