Crux like new after 40000 km

Crux still going strong after 4 years

I bought a yamaha crux in 2001

Now after milage of 40, 000 km

Only parts changed are 1 bulb , 1 tyre, 1 brake shoe, 1clutch wire , 1 chain (oiling it regularly now with gear oil after 2000kms)

(yamaha had fitted stupid 2.5’’ tyre used to be shaky so I wanted to live longer so fitted 3’’ mrf advise others to do so too)

The bike still feels like just brought from showroom.

No vibrations or knocking from engine crux is still able to beat all big bikes in 0 - 300metre run at red signal. including pulsars because they are heavy its a great pleasant experience.

The only bike which can outrace crux is its older brother the rx 100.

Later on other bikes like pulsar 180 pickup due to higher bhp.

Give competition to pulsar dts I 180 also if u put power petrol in crux.

I have become big yamaha fan.

The ride quality on crux is very comfortable

The seating position. the handle bars are perfect.

Bike has good feel due to dual cradle chassis and long wheel base.

You don’t feel cramped like when riding hero honda 100cc.

The bike is totally maintainance free even on rough handling.

At mumbai gruelling pot holed roads. gear change is very smooth.

You can change it even with broken clutch wire thing I discovered recently.

Bike can be started in any gear.

Due to its great pickup bike does not knock at slow speed in 2nd and 3 rd gear

like hero honda does.

I advice users to put shell engine oil its the best.

I need to change oil after 4000 km instead of 2500 km for other oils .

Average is 58 km at speed 70km avg speed and above. all guys who are speed fans note it.

68 per litre at 40 - 60 km avg speed.

I am more than happy with my bike

And advice others to go ahead and buy it.or

Buy other bikes after trying crux first I was going to buy hero honda splendour but tested crux on the way and found that it was a great bike.

It never let me down even when it jumped 6 metres high on a steep road bump.

At 80 km/hr( I thought it would jump 1m would be fun)

I discovered another aspect

As it came down intact has very good balance and axles too.

All my friends who bought other bikes had to sell it off after 25000km.

Pros : maintainance free good pick up handling

Cons: slim tyre
