Hi Guys, I was one of the early customers who bought Yamaha Crux ( in Feb 2001 ) when it was launched. I am using this bike for last 9 Years and done more than 35000 Kms. The basic reasons I went for this vehicle were A) its sleek and smooth gearbox and B) First down Three Up gear positions C) It?s simple but great looks D) I found the height and width suitable for my sister !!! ( You may find this strange but I am from Pune and we have very forward ladies who drive almost any two wheelers ) Plus Points of Yamaha Crux -- Smooth Engine -- Smooth and sleek gear shift ( Really best in its class ) -- Excellent Rear Brakes ( Have not changed brakes so far ) -- Excellent seat comforts ( for back seat person as well ) -- Reliable electrical ( Needed to change right indicator bulb twice ) -- Long wheel base and double cradle frame ( Can drive Zigzag in dense traffic ) -- Power full Head Lights -- Very durable clutch ( In fact I used to drive half clutch for 1.5 Years but still I have not replaced the clutch ) -- Good Mileage ( I am getting 60 Kms / Litre consistent for last 3 years ) -- Good Pick up compare other 100 CC Vehicles -- The vehicle can start in any gear. No need to bring it to Neutral gear -- Good paint quality Negative Points of Yamaha Crux -- Narrow width of Tyres. The vehicle came with third grade TVS Tyres. ( I replaced back tyre to Dunlop 3 * 18. So far no single puncture !!) -- Front brake is somewhat weak due to wrong angle. ( This could have been rectified in later products -- Need idling at slight higher side ( But I am okay with this ) -- Service cost and spares are a bit higher side. -- Max. speed is just 80 Kms. ( well this is I think case with all 100 CC bikes ) -- Need little more handle height I hope you will find my comments useful while selecting your vehicle. Happy driving !!
